Womens Ski Courses
The ideal tonic! Join top British ski teachers for a 3 day boost this winter.
These courses have been such a success and very well regarded by so many that we are delighted to offer several 3 day Performance courses for ladies in the popular resort of Morzine in the Portes du Soleil. The ideal tonic for those that fancy some excellent, inspiring, fun teaching, at your level, with your needs in mind.
COURSE DATES AND START DAYS ON SNOW : Please note that arrival this year is on the Saturday 16th January 2016. The course runs on snow on the 17th, 18th and half day of the 19th January. Then the next course starts on snow on the 20th January and runs on the 20th, 21st and half day of the 22nd January 2016.
WEEKEND COURSES. We are looking to run a few weekend courses to offer tuition on the Saturday, Sunday with our team in Morzine. Arrival Friday night, depart Sunday night, please email us to enquire on theses dates. Email Sally Chapman direct.
Courses structurally are run similarly to our All Mountain Performance Weeks but operate over a 3 day period. We aim to work, at your level, making sure you feel comfortable, happy and yet challenged within the group. Your actual level tends to already identify areas that we would work on but with all levels our aim is to make you feel that you can negotiate the terrain and conditions that you feel you wish to combat and improve on. This will vary from skier to skier but with this ‘all day formula’ we feel we have a great format to encourage, help and challenge you in the areas you most need to improve on.
What’s so different about our Women’s Courses to others? Well, the biggest difference is that you are put in to a group at YOUR level and not with a mixture of levels. In our mind it is really very important to get you working within a level where you are happy, confident but you also feel you are going to progress. We are very keen to make the most of the days with us and that you feel that you are able to focus on some simple points in order to progress out of the instruction environment.
If you require further details about these courses or wish to find out whether your level is suitable please email Sally Chapman direct. Courses are aimed at all levels of skiers who wish to gain the most out of this winning formula.
The course runs over a three day period. We usually have 2-4 groups running within each course. (Levels 2-6 offered.). This means the most important aspect is that you ski at your level, within a group of other ladies at the same level. (Average 6/7 (max 8)).Saturday or Tuesday ( dependent on which course date ) is a travel day, although if you wish to get an early flight then with an hour and ten minutes transfer from Geneva you could be skiing by the afternoon. We then meet or speak with you on the Saturday (or Tuesday) evening and ski a full day Sunday, Monday and half day Tueaday, (or Wed, Thurs, half day Friday ) thus your departure is usually from Geneva Airport on Tuesday evening or Friday/Saturday.
We like to meet the first evening of your arrival to have an informal chat about the course, checking levels and offering as much information as you require. Once on snow you will stay with your instructor for the day, meeting other groups for lunch if this is arranged or exploring the territory you are in and working on your own personal goals and performance. Tuition is all day for the first two days and half day for the third day. Informal evening sessions over tea and cakes or a drink and any other details of interest will be organised accordingly.
Due to this course running over a 3/4 night stay we can recommend packages please email us and we can provide you with full details of these.
We ask that you contact us first to check availability or if you would like alternative accommodation/chalets/hotels we can recommend these and help you book them. Prices for 3 nights stay vary from around £250 – £320. (A number of single rooms and/or female shares are available, so if you are travelling on your own, this is not a problem at all but please check these details with us first. Or if you wish to book the Course only this is also available).
We can advise which flights for you to book or help book these for you but we ask that you do not book anything until you have checked arrival/departure times with us. Transfers are also available and cost approx €50-60 return.
Please note that if you are level 4/5-5-6 on all our courses we would expect you to hire off piste transceivers/shovel/probe or have your own. We have these available to hire and our instructor will confirm this in resort dependent on condition, or we will send out details of how to hire prior to your course.
