Tignes
For our pre-christmas ski weeks this is an ideal venue.
One of the largest and most convenient of the purpose-built resorts, the high altitude and excellent snow record of Tignes make it an ideal location for our earlier and later ski weeks in the winter season. There are three main villages in Tignes, Le Lavachet, Le Lac and Val Claret, all linked by free buses 24 hours a day. The combined lift system of Tignes and Val D’Isere have long been recognised as offering some of the very best skiing in the world.
Skiing stretches from the Grande Motte glacier at 3656m down to the villages of Le Fornet and Les Brevieres at either end of the ski area. In later November and early December skiers can usually ski the whole Glacier, down to Val Claret, across to Tignes Le Lac and over to Val D’Isere and beyond.
An Off Piste wonderland with challenging on and off piste skiing – Tignes has been very popular for our early bird ski weeks offering some great early winter snowfalls for all levels and experience.
